Efflorescence

Live Laugh Loft – Los Angeles, CA – August 2019

Wearing a full body green zentai suit with fake fabric flowers sewn into it, standing in-between two sculptural pieces with colored fabric and yarn cascading out of them, two lights pointed up at me with the rest of the room in full darkness. With an experimental sound piece I created playing in the background [listen below], I respond with improvisational dance, cutting the flowers off of my body suit one by one, handing them to audience members. Final flowers were thrown to the ground as I struggled to cut my head out of the confinement, stripped of my blooms with nothing but holes where they once were. After the struggle my face is revealed and I bow.
