This series was created for my most recent show in downtown Los Angeles at Basic Flowers as part of Wet Silk: Illustrated Edition.
Touching back to sewing paper with the new addition of vellum as a layering device. The process began with a small old drawing from my study abroad trip to France back in 2012. A touch back to subtle earth tones from the landscape with the addition of new bold shapes carried over from the series “Deceptive Clarity”.
I plan to work on larger pieces to accompany these smaller ones, exploring the same technique.
